Training your dog to enjoy being in a crate
Crate training your dog can be a useful temporary training aid, as well as providing your dog with a safe and secure place to retreat to. It’s important that if you decide to use a crate for your dog that you introduce it gradually and make it a positive and enjoyable experience.
Our leaflet provides guidance on:
- How to choose a suitable crate
- How to train your dog to use a crate
- When to use a crate
- When NOT to use a crate
The leaflet was written for the Greyhound Trust but the training advice is suitable for all dogs – not just greyhounds!
